5. Do not solder directly on the battery; opt for batteries with pre-installed solder legs or leads.
6. Avoid mixing new and used batteries, or batteries from different sources.
7. Prevent short circuits between battery terminals; avoid reversing connections or disassembling the battery.
8. Transport and operate batteries gently, avoiding any violent means such as throwing.
